Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and a flair for providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients.
Duties
Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs.
Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend appropriate styles and treatments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including tools and workstations.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
Assist with front desk duties, including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing bookings.
Promote retail products and services through effective upselling techniques.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, makeup application, and nail care to provide informed recommendations to clients.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive salon atmosphere.
Skills
Strong knowledge of cosmetology principles and techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Proficiency in using salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
Experience in store management or retail sales is a plus.
Ability to perform makeup application and nail care services is desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Upselling skills to effectively promote salon products and services.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Cosmetology License

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
