We have an exciting opportunity for an Established Accessories Buyer in our London office.

Department Overview:

The Retail Buying department is responsible for assortment building and trading for our physical stores & e-commerce site.

The primary purpose of this position is to build robust Handbag & Small Leather Goods assortments to drive commercial results while ensuring we remain trend-relevant in the market.

The Buying team partners with teams across the business to identify opportunities, and develop & execute products to build strong assortments to ultimately achieve or surpass financial objections.

The role will report to the Director of Buying.

What You’ll Do:

You will be responsible for buying and trading the Accessories department, for our European Full Price (Stores & E-Commerce) and Outlet Stores.

Identify and make product-ranging decisions based on sound analysis and current market trends.

Take a long-term view when buying, balancing long-term goals with short-term trading opportunities.

Present buys in sign-off meetings to the senior leadership team.

Communicate the Buying team’s strategic priorities outwards to the wider business through regular updates and seasonal presentations.

During weekly and monthly trade meetings you will analyse product performance and financial reporting and drive robust trading actions to ensure KPIs and sales plans are being met.

Partner with the Accessories Buyer & planning and allocation teams to analyse business and stock opportunities, manage the lifecycle and flow of products and identify re-order opportunities by classification and style.

Stock management: work in partnership with the allocation team to ensure new product deliveries are sent to the right distribution in the right quantity.

Develop strong relationships with vendors to manage the departments and ensure pricing architecture and product development are right for the EMEA market and deliver the global brand vision.

Partner with internal functions within the business (in particular: Marketing, Visual Merchandising, ECOM, Store Operations, Global Buying teams, EMEA/Global Accessories Teams; and regional field leaders) to ensure clear synergy for the customer and product needs are met.

Prepare seasonal sales analysis (hind-sights) and devise pre-market strategies ahead of buys, in keeping with the wider business goals & present back to Senior Management.

Gathering customer feedback and staying on top of consumer trends and the competitive landscape, collaborating with retail field leaders and e-commerce site merchandising teams.

Frequent international travel to global Michael Kors showrooms, offices and stores.
