Position Overview:
The Account Executive is responsible for selling and maintaining relationships with top luxury specialty stores and e-tailers for Max Mara, Weekend Max Mara and Sportmax brands. You will work closely with the wholesale and regional sales teams to ensure growth of the brands within key retail channels. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, fashion-forward, and has a proven track record of success in managing key accounts while delivering results in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
Job Description / Role Requirements:
• Develop account-specific and collection-based sell-in strategies, collaborating with the Wholesale Manager to establish budgets and projections that meet or exceed growth targets.
• Identify and execute new opportunities within existing accounts while prospecting and leveraging relationships with potential new businesses.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and address various needs promptly and effectively.
• For high-volume stores, meticulously plan each appointment, including core selection, SKU
count, depth, delivery proportions, and comparisons to previous seasons.
• Create comprehensive market prep sheets detailing style selling history, seasonal trends, and
sales strategies to meet or surpass sales targets during client appointments.
• Monitor and analyze sales metrics and trends, providing leadership with key insights to
recommend strategic adjustments.
• Stay current on luxury fashion market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to
adapt strategies accordingly.
• Promptly address account issues while maintaining exceptional customer service to foster long- term client relationships.
• Oversee the brand’s sell-in and market performance throughout the selling season, ensuring
adherence to projections and budgets established during the pre-market phase.
• Travel as required to support market activities and strengthen client relationships.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of wholesale sales/account management experience in the luxury fashion industry, with a focus on high-end or contemporary specialty stores and e-tailers.
• Proven track record in sales with exceptional account management skills, driving growth and
maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in presentation, negotiation, and relationship building.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize in a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, NuOrder and Skypad with expertise in computer and data analytics.
• Energetic, entrepreneurial, and a collaborative team player.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
