Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven East Coast Specialty Account Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of specialty retail accounts throughout the East Coast territory. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening key account partnerships, and executing strategic growth initiatives across existing and prospective accounts.
The ideal candidate will have strong wholesale sales experience within the contemporary, premium, luxury, or fashion industry, with a proven ability to cultivate long-term relationships with buyers and specialty retailers. This individual will serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, providing market insights and ensuring exceptional account support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve seasonal and annual sales goals across the East Coast specialty account base.
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with buyers, store owners, and key retail partners.
- Conduct regular store visits, account meetings, product knowledge seminars, and special events to support sell-through and strengthen brand presence.
- Manage weekly ATS (Available to Sell) inventory reports to identify opportunities for replenishment, reorders, and strategic product swaps that maximize account performance.
- Partner closely with Customer Service and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely deliveries, order accuracy, and payment compliance.
- Analyze sales performance and provide post-market feedback, customer insights, and product recommendations to Design, Merchandising, and Production teams.
- Monitor account productivity and assortment performance to support future product development and business planning.
- Manage markdowns and dilution to achieve internal profitability targets and maintain alignment with annual budget objectives.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, account updates, and territory performance reports to leadership.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the expansion of the specialty retail distribution network throughout the territory.
- Represent the brand at market appointments, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of wholesale sales, account management, or territory sales experience within fashion, apparel, accessories, footwear, or luxury consumer goods.
- Established relationships within the East Coast specialty retail market preferred.
- Strong understanding of wholesale business operations, retail math, inventory management, and sales planning.
- Proven ability to analyze selling reports and leverage data to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail reporting tools, and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the East Coast territory.
Salary $90,000 + Bonus
