Accounting Analyst – Fashion Industry

Gina Group, a leading wholesale accessories company, is looking to hire a Accounting Analyst to support the CFO in various areas such as internal reporting, financial planning, and analysis. The ideal candidate will provide proactive, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking assistance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales, inventory, and margin reports

Assist with budget creation and forecasting

Ensure accurate costing of inventory items

Contribute to the month-end closing process

Support data entry and expense management tasks

Help with quarterly royalty reporting

Provide general administrative support to the CFO and finance department

Assist with special assignments and projects on various finance, operations, and marketing matters as directed by the CFO

Perform administrative duties, including press release assistance

Help with Business Intelligence (BI) datasets and dashboard creation

Finance

Support month-end follow-up and closing processes

Assist in costing and finalizing the month

Manage aged A/P statements

Update financial projections

Report on OTB (Open to Buy) and assist with budgeting

Bookkeeping for Trendilize

Track quarterly retailer earnings reports

Monitor key economic indicators and report findings to the CFO

Reporting

Prepare month-end aged inventory reports in Excel

Maintain sales projection worksheets

Assist with OTB reporting and inventory management

Create weekly UPS shipment reports

Manage weekly aged A/P and monthly Amex reports

Maintain Amex records and monthly aged inventory reports

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Expertise in MS Excel

Strong analytical and numeracy skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization

Highly organized with the ability to meet high-performance goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Fashion Industry experience is a plus

NY Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this position is ($50,000 – $55,000) annually based on skills and experience.
