Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Allocator
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for all allocations and weekly replenishment to the stores. Obtain a general understanding of all planning and distribution functions inorder to ensure appropriate stock levels by store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrate field communication and knowledge by developing knowledge of regional variances and store attributes and trends through data analysis and communication with the field while gaining effective relationships in order to capture location opportunities/abilities. Analyze category and size selling by store and make necessary recommendations to buyer/planner. Develop supply strategies to minimize stock outs. Weekly analysis/reports, to maximize sales opportunities and limit markdown risks. Manage and execute store to store transfer process. Manage and execute markdown transfer process from Regular Price Only stores.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define ownership, manage replenishment and ensure timely and accurate execution of new store assortments and quantities. Review performance to determine appropriate allocation for maximum results. Collaborate with buying team on store assortments based on store profiles to drive inventory requirements to meet in-stock targets.
Maintain correct stock levels by store. Meet or exceed sales, gross margin and inventory goals. Analyze and communicate location performance, including sales/inventory comparisons, seasonality and marketing impacts. Develop departmental distribution strategies to capture location-based opportunities (from analysis, quantify volume and profit opportunities.) Continually collaborating with Buying and Planning team in order to maintain store assortments while maximizing inventory productivity.
