Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their purchase experience and increase sales
- Maintain well-stocked shelves by stocking merchandise, organizing displays, and ensuring proper merchandising standards
- Process retail store product knowledge inquiries and provide detailed information about apparel items
- Handle retail store product knowledge, including clothing sizes, styles, and features to assist customers effectively
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring the store environment is inviting and organized
Requirements
- Previous supervising or leadership experience in a retail setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in bilingual settings if applicable
- Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling and product demos to boost sales performance
- Familiarity with stocking procedures, inventory management, and merchandising standards
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash drawers effectively
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
