Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Apparel Associate with expertise in JOOR, a leading digital platform for wholesale fashion sales, to join our dynamic retail team. This role involves managing product displays, assisting customers, and ensuring an engaging shopping experience through effective merchandising and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for fashion, and proficiency in JOOR platform management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant retail environment while developing valuable skills in sales, inventory management, and client relations.
Duties
- Utilize JOOR platform to upload, update, and manage product listings accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product selections, providing detailed product demos and style advice
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive and organized displays
- Stock shelves and ensure inventory levels are maintained according to store standards
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits to customers
- Upsell additional products by identifying customer needs and promoting complementary items
- Handle cashiering duties including POS transactions, cash handling, and processing payments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Support store operations through phone etiquette, assisting with order placements and follow-ups
- Supervise junior team members when necessary, providing guidance on sales techniques and platform usage
- Perform basic retail math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales reporting
- Assist in grocery store environments or similar retail settings as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales environments
- Supervising experience preferred; capable of guiding team members effectively
- Familiarity with merchandising principles and stock management techniques
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling strategies
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail operations is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism
