Petit Clair is a children’s fashion brand known for timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. As a direct-to-consumer clothing brand with a growing online presence and 8 retail locations, we’re looking for passionate Clothing Designer
Responsibilities:
- Design seasonal collections in line with brand identity and market trends
- Create mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and spec sheets
- Select fabrics, trims, and materials
- Collaborate with the product development and production teams from concept to final sample
- Stay current with fashion trends, color forecasting, and emerging styles
- Attend fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs
- Ensure all designs meet quality, fit, and production standards
- Present design concepts to internal teams
Qualifications:
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 3+ years of experience designing for a fashion brand (children’s wear, womenswear, or menswear—based on your niche)
- Strong sketching and technical drawing skills (hand and digital)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management skills
