Petit Clair is a growing children’s fashion brand known for timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. As a direct-to-consumer clothing brand with a strong online presence and 8 retail locations, we are looking for a passionate and creative Apparel Designer to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career who is excited to contribute creatively, develop seasonal product, and grow within a collaborative fashion environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing seasonal collections aligned with the Petit Clair aesthetic and customer
- Create mood boards, sketches, technical drawings, and spec sheets
- Support fabric, trim, and material sourcing initiatives
- Partner with product development and production teams throughout the development process
- Stay current on fashion trends, color direction, and market movement
- Participate in fittings and support revisions and design updates
- Ensure designs align with quality, fit, and production standards
- Present concepts and ideas to internal teams
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 1–4+ years of experience within a fashion brand environment
- Experience in children’s wear, womenswear, or related categories preferred
- Strong sketching and technical drawing skills (hand and digital)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with overseas factories is a plus
