Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our dynamic team. The Freelance Designer will work on diverse projects, contributing to garment construction, styling, and overall fashion aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Develop original design concepts and sketches for garments and accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, to create detailed design presentations.
- Apply knowledge of color theory and fashion styling to enhance design quality.
- Construct prototypes using sewing machines and CAD software as necessary.
- Stay updated on current fashion trends and industry developments to inform design choices.
- Participate in fittings and provide constructive feedback during the design process.
- Assist in preparing materials for presentations and client meetings.
Skills
- Proficient in garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation.
- Strong understanding of color theory and its application in fashion design.
- Experience in fashion styling, showcasing a keen sense of aesthetics.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator for design creation.
- Familiarity with CAD software for technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to illustrate concepts effectively through sketches or digital mediums.
- Knowledge of theater costume design is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
