JOB DESCRIPTION
The House of Angadi is looking for an experienced Apparel Designer to join our design team.
This role is suited for someone who enjoys taking complete ownership of the design process—from concept development to the final garment. You should possess a strong understanding of Indian and Western silhouettes, garment construction, textiles, embroidery and luxury craftsmanship.
This is a hands-on role that requires close collaboration with pattern makers, tailors, embroidery units and production teams to ensure every garment meets the highest standards of design and execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design collections across womenswear and menswear.
- Develop concepts, sketches, technical briefs and special pieces.
- Work closely with pattern makers, sampling units and production teams.
- Conduct garment fittings and oversee quality throughout the development process.
- Develop fabrics, embroidery layouts and surface embellishments.
- Coordinate with artisans, vendors and tailoring units to ensure timely execution.
- Design bespoke garments for VIP clients and provide styling recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, quality and project ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–6+ years of experience in apparel design.
- Strong expertise in Indian and Western apparel.
- Excellent knowledge of textiles, embroidery and garment construction.
- Experience working with sampling, tailoring and production teams.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility, attention to detail and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to vendors and production units whenever required.
