We are seeking a talented Children’s Apparel Designer to join a growing team focused on kids, baby, and toddler categories. This is a hands-on design role for someone with strong creative vision, trend awareness, and a solid understanding of children’s apparel across athleisure, casual, and active-inspired product for kids category and baby infant/ toddler will work across multiple sectors.

This opportunity is ideal for a designer who enjoys owning categories, building seasonal collections from concept through execution, and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design kids, baby, and toddler apparel for private label and branded retail programs
  • Create seasonal concepts, silhouettes, sketches, graphics, and assortments from initial idea through development
  • Translate trend direction and business needs into commercially strong product
  • Develop compelling design details with a strong understanding of fabric, fit, construction, and functionality
  • Support line development from concept through production, including tech packs and sample review
  • Partner closely with merchandising, technical design, production, product development, and marketing teams
  • Research and anticipate trends in children’s apparel, with awareness of the competitive market
  • Maintain organized development processes, sample tracking, and related documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in children’s apparel design
  • Strong background in kids, baby, and/or toddler categories
  • Experience designing children’s sportswear, athleisure, casualwear, and active-inspired product
  • Private label experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabric, and age-appropriate design

Required Skills

  • Excellent sketching, concepting, and visual storytelling skills
  • Strong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and PLM
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working with overseas partners or production teams is a plus
  • Must come from true children’s fashion design rather than licensing-only experience

Pay range and compensation package

Salary: $85,000/year – $100,000/year
