Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Apparel Fit Technician to join our dynamic apparel development team. This role is essential in ensuring that garments meet quality standards, fit specifications, and design expectations before production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of garment construction and fitting processes, with the organizational skills to manage workflow against tight production calendars. As an Apparel Fit Technician, you will collaborate closely with designers, pattern makers, vendors, and manufacturing teams to deliver consistently high-quality apparel that aligns with brand standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fit sessions on sample garments to evaluate fit, silhouette, and overall appearance
- Document fit comments thoroughly and accurately for each session
- Create and send out fit comments to vendors, ensuring clear communication of required adjustments
- Follow up with vendors on the status of fit and production samples
- Examine and measure samples to ensure accurate execution of requested specs
- Analyze garment fit issues and communicate necessary adjustments to pattern makers and production teams
- Assist in developing and refining sizing specifications based on fit evaluations
- Organize workflow based on delivery dates and the production time and action calendar
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production garments adhere to approved fit standards
- Support quality control processes by inspecting garments for construction integrity and consistency
- Participate in team meetings to discuss fit issues, progress, and improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fit technician or in a related apparel development role
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting procedures, pattern adjustments, and sizing standards
- Knowledge of fabric properties and how they influence garment fit and construction
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle fit discrepancies
- Highly organized with strong workflow management skills
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and data entry
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors
- Bilingual (English/Korean) preferred
