Position Summary: The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Merchandising with all daily tasks related to product development, customer relations and production across several menswear brands and categories. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about learning and growing within the menswear business in a wholesale and retail environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·Assist with daily communication and follow up with factory and mill on any new and existing product developments
·Manage and organize fabric strike offs and samples
·Assign and keep track of style numbers
·Assist with writing, revising and tracking purchase orders
·Fill out product attribute forms to share with e-commerce team
·Work on costing sheets
·Support team during market
·Maintain showrooms
·Work closely with sales team to support any customer needs
·Work closely with design to ensure all developments are passed off seamlessly
·Hybrid work schedule – 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home
Required Experience:
·Minimum of BA degree in Business or Merchandising
·1-2 years of experience preferred
·Knowledge of manufacturing and wholesale business
·Knowledge of retail math
·Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
·Must be detail-oriented and a good note taker
·Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
·Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
·MS office and strong Excel skills required
·Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus
