Job Overview
BTSA is looking for an experienced Apparel Product Developer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building products from concept through production. You will work directly with domestic and international factories, vendors, and suppliers to develop high-quality apparel while managing timelines, solving problems, and ensuring products are delivered on schedule.

Responsibilities
- Develop technical flats, artwork, and garment illustrations using Adobe Illustrator
- Use Adobe Photoshop to create and edit apparel graphics, colorways, and presentation materials
- Manage apparel development from concept through bulk production.
- Communicate daily with domestic and international factories, vendors, and suppliers.
- Develop fabrics, trims, labels, prints, embroidery, washes, and packaging.
- Review garment construction, measurements, fit, and workmanship, providing clear technical comments.
- Coordinate sample development and ensure revisions are completed accurately.
- Review development samples prior to customer submission.
- Manage development calendars and production timelines across multiple apparel programs.
- Identify potential risks early and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving.
- Work with suppliers on material development, sourcing, and costing.
- Support costing discussions and vendor negotiations.
- Coordinate testing requirements and production readiness.
- Maintain accurate product development records throughout each project.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure products meet quality, timeline, and customer expectations.
- Perform other product development responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of experience in apparel product development.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern development, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working directly with domestic and international factories and vendors.
- Experience managing multiple apparel programs simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working independently while managing changing priorities.
Preferred
- Experience developing knit, woven, fleece, and outerwear products.
- Experience with screen printing, embroidery, garment washes, and specialty fabric developments.
- Experience sourcing fabrics and trims.
- Experience supporting product costing and vendor negotiations.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
