Apparel Production Assistant – Transfer Pressing Jobs in Huntington Park, CA at Apliiq
Apliiq offers an online custom apparel platform where aspiring designers can create, buy, and sell their own labels and apparel designs. We’re the only private label drop shipping provider offering retail-ready fashion apparel products such as hoodies, t-shirts, joggers, beanies, hats, jackets, and much more.
We are looking for a self-driven Production Assistant at our Huntington Park location.
This is an entry-level position with room for growth! Starting pay for Level 1 is between $16.90/hour – 18/hour depending on experience. If you have great attendance, a strong work ethic, and are open to learning, there is upward mobility. Most new team members reach level 2 within 2-6 months ($18-22). We will teach you everything you need to know through on-the-job, paid training.

As a Production Assistant, you will work in a casual and inclusive production-based environment. Our team is friendly, welcoming, and creative. We are looking for hard workers that are self-motivated and excited to join our team.
Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for most of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. Priority is given to candidates with a positive attitude, the ability to work in a team setting, and with excellent attendance records.
Schedule –
Typically we work Monday – Friday and we’re hiring for our morning shift which is from 6am-2pm and our second shift which is from 2pm-10pm. Please note that while the schedule is rather consistent, there are times when the schedule can be variable. Depending on the order volume from our sellers, there are times when overtime is required and other times when you may have the day off. Our peak season is November and December and there are usually 4 Saturday shifts that are required during that period. We believe in transparency and want to be as up front as possible to find the right candidate.
Right now, we’re hiring for Full Time or Part Time, with preference given to afternoon shift.
We will teach you everything you need to know. We have an online training manual, and multiple managers on-site to aid in your training and continued growth. No prior experience is necessary, however it is always valued. Those with a keen eye, high degree of attention to detail, fine motor skills, can balance pace with quality, and enjoy working with their hands, are usually best suited and highly successful in this position.
Common tasks production assistants do:
- operating top of the line printing equipment
- operating transfer pressing machines (heat presses)
- operating embroidery machines
- operating sewing machines
- shipping & receiving
- quality assurance
While this position is mainly focused in our Direct-to-Film Transfer Pressing department, order volume, deadlines, and skillsets may allow for additional cross training. We certainly appreciate those with an open mind to learning and growing.
