Company Overview
BUTTERMELON is a fast growing women’s wholesale fashion brand based in Downtown LA. We are looking for a responsible and detail oriented Production Assistant to support our design and production team. This role is important in managing samples, factory communication, production approvals, inventory updates, and overall product flow from development to bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and confirm PP and TOP sample specs, measurements, trims, labels, and overall construction details
- Prepare clear fit comments and production comments for factories
- Communicate with factories regarding sample corrections, approvals, and production updates
- Manage bulk approval process, including fabric, color, trim, fit, and quality confirmation
- Track and organize company samples, including development samples, PP samples, TOP samples, photo samples, and showroom samples
- Manage factory PO status and follow up on production timelines, delivery dates, and pending issues
- Update and maintain inventory related information with accuracy
- Work closely with the design, production, sales, and warehouse teams to keep styles moving on schedule
- Review production issues and communicate necessary corrections to factories
- Maintain organized records for approvals, comments, samples, and production status
- Support daily production tasks and help ensure product quality before bulk shipment
Requirements
- Experience in apparel production, import production, or related fashion industry role preferred
- Basic understanding of garment construction, specs, fabric, trims, and fit
- Strong attention to detail and ability to catch production issues early
- Good communication skills with factories and internal teams
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple styles at the same time
- Comfortable using Excel, Google Sheets, email, and production tracking systems
- Positive attitude, responsible mindset, and willingness to learn
- Able to work in a fast paced fashion environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Pay: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour
