Company Overview

New World Creation Inc. of New York dba Smoke Rise New York, is a fast-growing streetwear brand producing premium denim, knits, wovens, athleisure, and accessories. We’re looking for a detail-driven Production Coordinator to help bring our collections from concept to consumer, managing the day-to-day mechanics of production across multiple categories and factories.

Position Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of the production process — from style and purchase order creation in the ERP system through sample development, tech pack review, spec management, quality inspections, and final logistics. This role is the connective tissue between Design, Merchandising, Sales, and the Warehouse, ensuring every style moves smoothly and on time from initial concept to floor-ready product.

Key Responsibilities

ERP & Order Management

  • Create and maintain style records, BOMs, and purchase orders in the ERP system across denim, knits, wovens, athleisure, and accessories categories
  • Track PO status from issuance through delivery, updating quantities, costs, and dates as needed
  • Ensure ERP data accuracy and consistency across all style and order records

Sample Management

  • Manage the full sample lifecycle: proto, fit, salesman, PP (pre-production), and TOP (top-of-production) samples
  • Log all incoming samples, assign tracking numbers, and maintain an organized sample library
  • Comment on and route samples for fit, design, and technical review; consolidate and communicate feedback to factories
  • Track sample due dates and proactively flag delays that could impact the production calendar

Tech Packs & Specs

  • Review tech packs for completeness and accuracy prior to factory submission
  • Partner with Design and Merchandising to resolve spec discrepancies and construction questions

Quality & Inspections

  • Coordinate pre-production, in-line, and final inspections with factories and third-party QC vendors
  • Review inspection reports, flag quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions
  • Support AQL standards and help maintain consistent quality across vendors

Logistics & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate shipping schedules, bookings, and delivery timelines with factories, freight forwarders, and the warehouse
  • Track inbound shipments and resolve delays, shortages, or documentation issues
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Production and Design, Merchandising, Sales, and Warehouse teams to keep all parties aligned on timelines and status
  • Communicate calendar risks and production updates proactively to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in apparel production, product development, or a related role (streetwear, denim, or athleisure experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of an ERP/PLM system
  • Understanding of garment construction, tech packs, and spec measurements across wovens, knits, denim, and accessories
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously
  • Clear written and verbal communicator, comfortable coordinating across departments and with overseas factories
  • Proficient in Excel; comfortable working across time zones with international vendors
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience working directly with denim wet-processing or specialty dye/wash vendors
  • Familiarity with AQL inspection standards and third-party QC coordination
  • Prior experience in a streetwear, contemporary, or fast-paced fashion environment
