Title – Technical Designer

Responsibilities/Requirements-
- Responsible for ensuring overall quality and fit consistent with the companies label.
- Create brand-right technical specification packages across multiple categories to achieve a fit consistent product
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Design on new product development specs and prototypes
- Work with Design and PD to evaluate and fit garments from proto stage through production
- Schedule, lead and manage fittings, with an eye for details and construction, calling out any concerns
- Prepare fit comments and patterns if needed to update and revise technical packages for production
- Review and approve PP samples and TOP to ensure quality and aesthetic standards are met for all
- Communicate with overseas factories and production teams daily
- Proactively identify and solve potential development and production issues
- Comply with the Master Development and Production Calendars and ensure all deadlines are met on a timely basis.
- Create costing tech packs to send to factories for cost.
Qualifications-
- Minimum of 3+ years working experience in Women’s Apparel technical design
- College education in Fashion Production/Technical Design/Patternmaking
- Preferred background in knits, sweaters, dresses and blouses
sewn, and stretch knit fabrications
- Plus-size experience is useful
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Excel & Word. Adobe Illustrator is useful.
- Must be detail oriented, with knowledge of patternmaking, draping, garment construction and grading
- Must be organized with excellent written and communication skills
- Problem-solver, solutions orientated
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work on a continual basis, and work with limited supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
