Position Overview
Universal Horror Unleashed offers a unique horror experience at Area 15, Las Vegas, involving dark environments with special effects like strobe lights, fog, and artificial smells. Key Responsibilities
Apply and maintain SFX makeup and prosthetics, including advanced multi-piece silicone and latex prosthetics, airbrushing, aging, and fitting techniques.
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and communicate issues related to prosthetics and makeup applications.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and workstations.
Participate in tests, fittings, rehearsals, and show openings.
Support wig and hair needs for events and promotional activities.
Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proficiency with materials and techniques including latex, silicone, airbrushing, and aging.
Color matching skills and strong customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and prioritize tasks.
Flexible schedule based on business needs.
NV certifications: OSHA 10 and Nevada Cosmetology license; graduation from a certified makeup school preferred.
Educational background:
Technical school, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Theater or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of theatrical makeup and prosthetic experience or equivalent.
