An Assistant Financial Accountant is required to work for a leading Media business based in Manchester on a permanent basis (hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office). You will be joining at a key time for this household name as they focus on several finance transformation projects. This company prides itself on placing people at the forefront and have a benefits package to match.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounts, you will be responsible for the accounting for various entities, including month-end, balance sheet, and intercompany work.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting with the year-end and month-end preparation for various entities
Owning the balance sheet reconciliations for various entities
Managing intercompany reconciliation work
Preparing financial statements for various entities
Responsibility for journal entries and payroll reconciliations
Supporting with the transition onto new ERP system
What they are looking for
The successful candidate will be an active studier (or AAT/ qualified by experience) with experience in month-end and year-end. You must have experience of accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience working in a larger business is preferred but not essential. You will be proactive in nature and enjoy supporting with the improvement on processes on the new ERP system.
