Assistant Buyer

We’re looking for a detail-driven and proactive Assistant Buyer to join our Buying team at our Pyrmont Head Office.

Supporting the Buyer, you’ll play a key role across the entire buying cycle, from product development and range building through to delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your buying career in a fast-paced, fashion retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Buyer with day-to-day administration across the category
  • Assist in product development, trend research, and competitor analysis
  • Manage and track the critical path to ensure on-time delivery
  • Create and maintain accurate product data, including SKU setup and pricing
  • Coordinate samples, approvals, and maintain the sample room
  • Assist in range reviews and preparation for key buying meetings
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Support with reporting, sales analysis, and trading insights
  • Assist with ad hoc projects across the Buying team

About You

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a Assistant Buyer or similar role
  • Previous experience in retail or fashion (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident working with data and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Passion for product, trends, and the retail industry
