The Assistant Buyer is responsible for assisting the Buyer in developing the assortment direction and delivering product that is trend-relevant and has a strong price-value for their assigned categories, keeping a pulse on latest trends, influencers, aspirational and competitive landscape for their categories, maintaining strong relationships with vendor community through sample organization.

What You’ll Do

Assist Buyers in Assortment planning and sales analysis

Run reporting and update all systems necessary to maintain dept function

Maintain Buy Sheets to match On Order

Scout new samples/vendors to recommend products to be sold on Lulus.com

Attend all internal business and creative meetings with the knowledge to speak on respective categories

Attend vendor meetings as needed

Attend fittings for respective categories and maintain any notes in the Developer PP doc

Execution of promotions as needed

Purchase Order creation and maintenance, as needed

Other duties as assigned

Track and maintain all samples for respective category

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience

1-2 years of relevant retail buying experience

Professional, positive attitude

Sense of urgency, highly detailed, and experience in meeting deadlines

Excellent communication; written, oral and group facilitation

Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and managers at all times

Works well under pressure

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive

Ability to apply logical thinking and sound judgment to a wide range of practical problems

Thorough knowledge of trends and fashion

Keen understanding of the Lulus Customer

Retail math skills
