Position Description: The Adrianna Papell Group is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant CAD Designer to join our dynamic Better Separates (Sportswear) Division. This role supports the Design Team by creating and maintaining all CAD artwork and designs for major retail customers while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards. The Assistant CAD Designer works closely with the Design Team in developing CADs and tech packs, including detailed specifications and artwork necessary for production. This role also provides day-to-day administrative and design support, helping manage multiple projects and maintain strong organization across the Team’s CAD assets. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to PLM systems and/or Blue Cherry is a plus but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical skills in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Render body sketch CADs in print and color for buyer presentations using Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Work with Sales, Merchandising, and Design Teams to create CADs that reflect design direction and orders.
  • Support Designer to create detailed and accurate tech packs in PLM.
  • Review lap dips, and bulk swatches of fabric for approval.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding approvals.
  • Provide both creative and administrative support to the Design Team.
  • Ability to multi-task, to work on multiple design and CAD projects concurrently and to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • BFA, Fashion or Textile Design preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years CAD design experience.
  • Strong proficiency off Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative products – specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with PLM and/or Blue Cherry is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of CAD design within the apparel industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Keen eye for color and artistic detail.

Pay: $52,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
