Assistant Manager – Category – Job Description

As an Assistant Manager – Category, you will support the Category Manager in driving sales and execution for the jewelry category across various sales channels. You will assist in sales planning, promotional execution, inventory coordination, and performance tracking, with a strong focus on retail and online channel support to maximize category performance.


Responsibilities

:Support the Category Manager in executing the strategic plan and initiatives for the jewelry category

.Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and inventory movement to identify growth opportunities and risks

.Support planning for product launches, promotions, and seasonal assortments based on historical trends and forecasted demand

.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Brand, design, merchandising, retail operations, marketing, and e-commerce) to ensure smooth execution of category initiatives

.Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to provide inputs on product positioning and pricing

.Prepare sales reports, dashboards, and business insights to support category planning and reviews

.Maintain product masters, assortment plans, and pricing sheets with high accuracy

.Assist in planning and monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across channels

.Liaise with store and e-commerce teams to gather on-ground feedback and ensure visibility and availability of key SKUs

.Support in post-campaign analysis and provide insights for future planning

le:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fie

ld.2–3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, preferably in fashion, jewelry, or lifestyle reta

il.Strong understanding of trends, seasonality, and customer buying patter
