Assistant Design Coordinator – Onsite: Varsity Spirit Plano office:640 Shiloh Rd, Plano, TX 75074

Varsity Spirit is hiring an Assistant Design Coordinator. The Design Coordinator will report to the Design Director and work closely with crossfunctional teams. The primary focus of the Assistant Design Coordinator will be to support all active design projects, and the design team with all the tasks necessary to achieve the team’s goals. This role best fits an individual who is detail oriented, a strong communicator and has excellent time management skills. This position will interact with internal customers such as sales representatives, pattern makers, production team members, and external customers.

What you will do:

Provide day to day design support including general administrative duties for design team.

Provides design team with key meeting preparation, including but not limited to sample & deck preparation, monthly assortment sell-thru reports.

Partner with NPI, Raw Materials Department, Sample Room, and other internal groups.

Maintain project documentation, including project plans, specifications, schedules, data sheets, and progress reports between Design and internal/external partners.

Track project milestones, deliverables, samples, and follow-up with vendors to ensure timely completion.

Facilitate communication and information sharing among team members ensuring everyone is informed about project progress, changes, and challenges.

Supports design team with assets for training and internal product set-up.

Assist with catalog photo shoot preparation and on-site duties.

Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, fostering positive relationships and driving consensus.

What you need:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising or Communications preferred, or equivalent field experience/expertise

Previous experience in product development, project management, or a related role is desired.

Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce.com, Product Lifecycle Management software

Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
