This is a hybrid role consisting of 3 days in-office and 2 days WFH

The successful candidate will reside in the Greater Boston area.

We are NIC+ZOE, a fiercely female clothing brand founded by designer, Dorian Lightbown. Founded in Boston in 2004, the brand is widely recognized for its knitwear, distinctive patterns, and sophisticated fits. Our customizable, versatile pieces are purposefully designed to help women feel just as good on the inside as they look on the outside.

In this entry level role, the Assistant Designer will be an integral member of the design team, focusing on support and administration for the team overall. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with team on projects which will include the following responsibilities:

Assist the design team with sketches and revisions, including dolls for our templates.

Organize trim libraries in the office and PLM.

Follow creative direction and turn concepts and ideas into visuals.

Work closely with Woven Designer on initial training in style development, technical fit and garment production.

Assist in creating and managing tech packs in PLM.

Prepare for garment fit meetings.

Print visuals for meetings and discussions.

Prepare development samples to send to factories.

Partner with Senior Designer Director/ Woven Designer on creating original styles and silhouettes following the seasonal trends.

Evident skill set, ability, and drive to take on additional responsibilities within the design group.

Stay up to date with industry trends.

Powerful organizational skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop

Education + Experience

B.S. in Apparel Design

Expertise in Photoshop and proficiency in Illustrator programs a requirement.

Previous internship or work experience in the design field.
