This is an entry-level role supporting the Design team across various seasonal collections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, able to multitask and is a great communicator. This role is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and continuously growing set of brands in both Mens and Boys. The candidate must be comfortable working on all categories; cut & sew, wovens, outerwear and swim.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of Designer: tech packs, BOMs, creating and updating CADs, flat sketches and detail sketches
- Conduct trend research for silhouettes, trim and graphics/techniques
- Assist in creation of mood boards based on seasonal concepts
- Partner with Product Development team from initial development to final product - by ensuring all Tech Packs are handed off and are proofread
- Coordinate samples - check in samples, track, label, organize and archive
- Attend fittings alongside Designer and work with Technical Designer to help maintain design aesthetic and fit
- Connect with Merchandising and Sales partners on various requests and cost of products
- Collaborate with Licensing teams daily to ensure all designs are in line with licensor guidelines
- Assist in approving strike-offs, lab dips and proto samples
- Help maintain and develop fabric assortment for each season
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in mens or boys
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Strong interest in men’s/boy’s sportswear and casualwear
- Strong organizational abilities
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong sense of color (Pantone) and prints
- Ability to follow through with sense of urgency
- Working knowledge of garment construction and trim
- Must be interested in working on all categories; cut & sew, wovens, outerwear and swim
Salary: $65,000
