A fast-moving apparel design, manufacturing and retail fashion company operating in the ready-to-wear consumer fashion sector in India. We design seasonal collections, manage end-to-end sample development and deliver production-ready packs for volume manufacturing. Role: Assistant Fashion Designer (standardized title: Assistant Fashion Designer).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support senior designers to conceptualise and execute seasonal collections—produce flat sketches, colorways, mood boards and trim callouts.
  • Create and maintain accurate tech packs and CAD flats for vendor handover; update revisions after fittings and sample reviews.
  • Work closely with the sample room and pattern makers to review first samples, log fit comments, and recommend construction adjustments.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and production teams to track fabric and trim availability and resolve manufacturing queries.
  • Conduct trend and fabric research; maintain trim, swatch and reference libraries and ensure assets are updated in PLM or shared folders.
  • Participate in fit sessions and quality checks to ensure samples meet design intent, costing targets and production standards.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design or equivalent. Entry-level candidates and fresh graduates with internship or industrial training experience are encouraged to apply. Must be willing to work on-site in India and accept a 2-year employment bond. Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude in sample follow-up and availability for regular fittings are required.
