Role Description The Assistant Fashion Designer will support the design team in developing and executing collections from concept to final garment. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with sketching, fabric selection, and embroidery details, as well as coordinating fittings and preparing technical specifications for production. The role involves close collaboration with pattern makers and artisans, ensuring that designs are accurately translated into finished pieces and aligned with the brand’s aesthetic. Additional tasks include organizing samples, maintaining mood boards, and contributing ideas to seasonal themes and special projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut, requiring active presence in the atelier and hands-on involvement in the creative process.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, with the ability to support the creation of cohesive collections.
- Experience with Textiles and Embroidery, including fabric selection and decorative techniques suitable for luxury handcrafted garments.
- Practical skills in Fitting, with the ability to assist in garment adjustments and collaborate with pattern makers and seamstresses.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work on-site in Beirut, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in a small, artisan-focused team.
