About Us:
We are a boutique salon located within a luxury hotel in the heart of Santa Monica. Our salon prides itself on delivering exceptional hair care services in an upscale and relaxing environment. We are looking for a talented and motivated licensed cosmetologist to join our team as an Assistant/Hairstylist.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform blow dry services, shampooing, and hair treatments.
Assist with applying hair color and other chemical treatments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including sanitizing tools and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service, including greeting clients and ensuring their comfort.
Support front desk operations by checking clients in and out, scheduling appointments, and handling payments.
Assist the lead stylists with daily tasks and provide general support to the salon/ spa team.
Manage salon supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked and organized.
Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth salon operations.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid cosmetology license in the state of California.
Previous experience in a salon environment is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
