This role supports the Store Manager in leading, developing, and supporting the full
store team to drive sales, client experience, and operational excellence. The ASM
also oversees the store when the Store Manager is not present.
Brand Ambassador
• Embody the brand DNA and lead by example in service, presentation, and conduct.
• Support the Store Manager in handling client concerns and resolving issues effectively.
Sales & Client Management
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to build out and formalize Store Strategy and Action Plan
to develop sales, build a strong database and CRM plan, and support the team in their
development.
• Manage, motivate and ensure the team is fully equipped to exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Drive business through KPI and goal management.
• Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor and managing client
relationships personally.
• Build and maintain loyal client relationships from all areas including interiors, design, lifestyle
and fashion spheres.
• Drive client development activities to cultivate new and existing clients.
• Work collaboratively with office teams to support store action plan and wider business goals.
Visual & Store Standards
• Partner with Visual Merchandising and Brand teams to implement concepts and displays.
• Maintain store presentation to reflect a luxury brand image.
Team Support & Leadership
• Lead team briefings, training, mentoring and coaching alongside the Store Manager.
• Create and animate onboarding and team development plans, training, and development.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to provide regular feedback and performance reviews for
the team.
• Demonstrate agility and entrepreneurial spirit to build the business, adapt to changing
contexts, and seize new opportunities.
• Act as the Store Manager’s deputy when required.
Operations
• Support all aspects of operational excellence including process creation, inventory
management, stock takes, and operational reporting.
• Ensure all store processes comply with company standards and legal requirements.
• Ensure exceptional operational support to drive sales and service.
• Manage an efficient front and back of house and ensure consistency with established
operational procedures. Identify and execute efficiencies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures.
Skills and Experience needed:
• Experience in luxury retail, including fashion and accessories, interiors, homeware, or lifestyle.
• Commitment to achieving and exceeding targets while focusing on client needs and
experience
• Excellent personal presentation, embodying the J.W. Anderson brand.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs.
• Proven ability to effectively coach, lead, and manage a team.
• Strong and demonstrable commercial acumen.
• Passion for customer service and a sales floor focused approach.
