Role Description The Assistant Manager at LOFT Eden Prairie Center supports the Store Manager in leading daily store operations and driving a customer-focused environment. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area includes coaching and mentoring associates, modeling inclusive and engaging service standards, and ensuring the sales floor is visually appealing and well-maintained. The Assistant Manager helps manage scheduling, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to company policies and loss prevention practices. This role partners closely with store leadership to achieve sales goals, monitor key performance indicators, and execute promotions and merchandising updates. The Assistant Manager also supports hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and fosters a culture of teamwork, wellbeing, and positive energy.
Qualifications

  • Retail leadership experience, including supervising teams, supporting performance management, and contributing to store operations.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to create welcoming experiences, resolve issues professionally, and build customer loyalty.
  • Basic business and sales acumen, including comfort with sales targets, KPIs, cash handling, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse team members and provide clear direction and feedback.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) and stand, walk, and lift as required in a retail setting.
  • Experience in fashion or specialty retail and familiarity with visual merchandising and styling is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in retail management or business is a plus.
