Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Job Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Projects – Participate in idea development, project management, review formulation, materials and processes, product improvement / cost optimization, conducting shelf life studies whenever necessary.
Create, maintain and secure all relevant R&D documentation i.e. formulations, manufacturing procedures and specifications.
Develop New Products and processes, support in sensory evaluation, review of new materials, conducting shelf life studies whenever necessary.
Drive, support, participate and abide with Product Development systems and procedures.
Provide relevant technical support and expertise regarding product, process, ingredients or food regulations as appropriate.
Keep abreast with regulatory, industry and market food trends.
Participate in appointed GMP, HACCP, ISO, Halal, OSH or other committees/ audits assigned.
To support in crop evaluation and ensuring quality of materials on yearly basis for raw material contracting
Support in plant troubleshooting activities as well as providing support in ad hoc raw material supply shortage for business continuity
Support in domestic & export sensory validation processes
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or related Sciences
At least 3 years of working experience in food manufacturing industry, preferably from sauces or simple meals industries
No food inhibitions or major food allergies
Familiar with general food processes, food safety requirements, local Food Act & Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP
Basic understanding of Malaysian Food Regulations and Halal requirements
Good interpersonal and communication skills
