Hiring Colorist /Stylist – Moxie Salon & Beauty Bar in Garwood, NJ

Compensation: Hourly pay is based on experience and complemented by tips, membership commissions, and product bonuses.

Compensation: Our top stylists make $30+ per hour (hourly pay, bonuses, and tips)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time. Various shifts are available (6, 8, & 10-hour), with weekend availability required.
Your Role:
Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences by asking pointed questions
Performing blowouts, haircuts, color services, and extensions
Recommending hairstyles and haircuts based on your professional expertise
Upselling hair care products or services when appropriate
Shampooing clients’ hair and forming bonds with loyal customers
Providing makeup services
Skills Required:
Previous experience as a Hair Stylist, Hair Colorist, or similar role
Proficiency in blowouts – straightening and curling methods using hot irons and curlers
Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work in shifts
Valid license from a cosmetology school
