Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Bianca Spender is a full-time, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW. Within our David Jones boutique.

This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including Providing an eloved customer experience, opening and closing procedures, visual merchandising, inventory management, and staff coordination. The Assistant Manager leads by example in delivering an exceptional in-store experience, guiding customers through collections, styling outfits, and maintaining strong product and brand knowledge. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising sales performance, coaching team members, handling customer inquiries and escalations, and ensuring store standards are consistently met. The role also assists with supporting brand initiatives and promotions to drive sales and strengthen customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or fashion store supervision or management, with a strong focus on customer service and sales performance.
  • Ability to manage daily store operations, including visual merchandising, stock control, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated interest in fashion, styling, and brand representation, with an eye for detail and presentation.
  • Comfort with basic retail systems and point of sale technology
  • Previous experience in fashion retail or premium/luxury brands is highly regarded but not essential
