Our client, a leading activewear and sports focused apparel and accessories brand, is looking to hire a full-time Assistant Merchandiser to join their team. In this role, you’ll help with product selection, inventory management, and the creation of visually engaging line sheets to highlight apparel, footwear, and accessory collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Seasonal Line Sheet Design: Use Adobe Illustrator to create and update seasonal line sheets, showcasing product assortments with details like style names, colors, fabrics, and pricing.
Product Data Management: Help compile product specifications, images, and descriptions to ensure accurate and current records for line sheets and internal databases.
Collaborative Work: Partner with designers, merchandisers, and marketing teams to gather necessary product information and ensure consistency in visual presentations.
Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to identify fashion trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to inform product selection and merchandising strategies.
Visual Merchandising Support: Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure line sheets reflect direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns, in-store displays, and online visuals.
Administrative Support: Assist the merchandising department with organizing meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Design, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years in apparel merchandising, design, or a similar role is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office (Excel) is required; knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite tools is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends and sales data to guide merchandising decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Creative Vision: A passion for fashion, a keen eye for design, and an interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends.
