Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Assistant Merchant to support the development & execution of Vuori’s product assortment. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the brand product strategy and helping to support new growth opportunities in Women’s Tops. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the performance apparel space, Vuori’s mission and will embody the brand’s values.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide day to day merchandising support.

Gain an understanding of the business in partnership with the merchandising & planning team.

Support the merchandising strategy by pulling applicable historical and current data.

Collect and organize competitive marketplace information.

Conduct surveys and focus groups to gain a better understanding of the Vuori customer.

Assist in the development of comprehensive assortment strategies across ecomm, store and wholesale channels.

Learn the fundamentals of editing a line and develop a point of view.

Manage line plan, product messaging, and product knowledge tools.

Assist with key meeting preparation, including but not limited to sample management, deck preparation, etc.

Manage tools and flow of information for wholesale catalog creation process in partnership with merchandising and marketing.

Responsible for PLM system updates and general assortment updates for all tools.

Act as cross departmental liaison, creating a consistent flow of communication throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

1+ years product management or merchandising experience.

Performance apparel experience preferred.

Must be organized, attentive to detail, and able to multi-task.

Strong communication skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Understanding of retail math.

Proficient in Microsoft (Excel) and Adobe Suite (Illustrator).

Ability to travel domestically when necessary.

Must live in the San Diego area or be willing to relocate.

Additional Information

Pay Range:

$65,000 – $75,000
