Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Print Designer to join their sleepwear team in NYC!
Responsibilities
- Assist the print design team in creating original textile prints, graphics, and repeat patterns for sleepwear collections.
- Research fashion, color, and graphic trends to develop fun, trend-right artwork that aligns with brand aesthetics.
- Prepare artwork files, colorways, and print layouts for development and production.
- Support the team with strike-off reviews, revisions, and maintaining accurate design documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure timely execution of seasonal collections.
- Help organize print archives, artwork libraries, and seasonal design boards.
- Assist with packaging or branding design projects as needed.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in print, textile, or graphic design, preferably within apparel or sleepwear.
- Knowledge of textile print development, repeat patterns, and graphic design processes.
- Strong eye for color, layout, and trend-driven artwork.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while remaining flexible in a growing, fast-paced department.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the design team.
- Experience with packaging or branding design is a plus, but not required.
- Fashion or Textile Design degree preferred.
