Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team throughout the product development process. This role assists with garment fit, measurements, technical documentation, and communication between internal teams, factories, and clients to ensure products meet quality, fit, and timeline expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with Technical Designers and support the team as needed
- Review and measure fit samples prior to customer submission
- Assist with setting up specs in GBP and PLM
- Review tech packs for accuracy before releasing to factory
- Release fit comments and approvals to factories
- Assist with internal and virtual (Zoom) fit sessions
- Track sample status and escalate delays or issues as needed
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in Technical Design or Product Development (internships accepted)
- Knowledge of garment construction, fit, and measurements
- Experience with tech packs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator
- PLM and GBP experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office-based with regular interaction with samples and fittings
- Ability to stand, measure garments, and attend fit sessions as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
