Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Stylist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and customer service, with a willingness to learn and grow within the beauty industry. As a Stylist Assistant, you will support the owners in delivering exceptional services to their clients while ensuring a welcoming and organized salon atmosphere.
Duties
Assist owners with shampoos, color application and blowouts .
Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including front desk duties.
Handle retail transactions and assist clients with product recommendations using retail math skills.
Apply knowledge of color theory to assist owners during color services.
Qualifications
Previous experience or training in hair styling is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with salon software systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
Basic understanding of retail math for processing transactions accurately.
Since this is a part time position there will be time for walk in clients if you are capable. We are an established salon of over 30 years and have the ability to build the right person. The job is for Tues. Fri. and Sat. If you are ready to build you can work as a commission stylist the other days.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
