What is my role?The Associate Designer, in partnership with the cross-functional team (Pre-production, Production, Graphics, etc.) assists the Designer and Director directly to execute product. They research relevant trends, communicate with the cross-functional team and provide support to the Designer.

What You’ll DoResearch and identify trends that are relevant to our customers, bring ideas and inspirationDevelop strong working relationships with the teams through communications and problem solvingCreate presentation linesheets from start to finishWork with designer and director to create seasonal direction in silhouette, fabric and concept for specific retailers/marketExecute and help in presentation books/art CAD’sAttend and participate in fit sessions with designerCommunicate and execute technical information through PLM to the Technical DesignerUnderstand the fundamentals of the production process as it relates to their classificationManage deadlines in accordance with the calendarAssist in coding art and revisions of CAD’sAssist in sample executionMaintain organized filing system for all CAD’s on serverHelp maintain the day-to-day projects including filing/organizing, tagging, line preparation, copying and updating development, packages, fabric books, shipping/tracking packages

What You’ll Need2 or 4 year college degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textiles, Fine Art, or related fieldPortfolio required2-3 years previous experience designing apparelPrevious experience designing juniors apparel a plusStrong sense of color, style, and trendExtremely proficient in the Adobe Creative suiteAttention to detail and follow-up skillsGarment construction & fabric knowledgeAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesEnjoys working in a fast-paced environment
