What You’ll Do:

In collaboration with the Senior Design Director, Responsible for upholding design integrity throughout the entire design and development process

Attend all fittings, prototype through production

Daily clear communication with overseas factories, suppliers, tech design

Meet with vendors for sourcing and attend local trade shows

Help organize presentation boards, maintain line lists and assist in the preparation of meetings

Responsible for department timeline adherence, ensuring all products and seasonal concepts deliver to meet key and final calendar dates

Partner cross-functionally with woven design team, Fabric team, production, technical design and sales

Create design flats using Photoshop, Illustrator and hand sketches

Participate in seasonal fashion week presentations/show

Mentoring and managing the assistant / intern, assigning projects and duties in line with the deadlines, and workload of the rest of the team.

Travelling when necessary for proto review, yarn fair, representing the brand to a high standard.

You’ll Need to Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Knitwear Design

3+ years of experience in a similar role, specific to sweaters. luxury ready-to-wear experience a plus

Strong passion and genuine interest in the industry.

Experience/comfort working in a Creator-led design environment

Meticulous attention to detail, “perfectionist” mentality

Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once

Sound knowledge of fashion, luxury women’s wear, trends, designers, and the history of the brand.

Strong understanding of garment specifications and technical knowledge fit, garment construction, yarns and yarn performance, product development, trim, techniques, and production processes.

Must be proficient in ability to sketch and illustrate both by hand & computer

Experience using Centric ( or similar) for product data management
