Our client is seeking aMenswearDesign Associatefor Outerwear to join their team in New York! This is a full-time hour contract role with potential to go permanent.
Responsibilities:
Conduct seasonal research
Create accurate flat sketches/ CADs and design tech packs.
Provide feedback on fabric lab dips and strike-offs.
Create inspiring design presentations and mood boards.
Utilize garment construction techniques and sewing methods.
Attend weekly design meetings & collaborate with production teams.
Qualifications:
1-2 years Design experience within Menswear & Outerwear or Sportswear
Experience working with both knit and woven fabrics
Apparel Design degree
Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency in PLM system
Detail oriented, team player
Ability to work in the fast paced environment
Strong organizational skills
