We are actively seeking an Associate Designer for Outerwear Apparel design team. The Associate Designer will work closely with the senior design team as the lines are being developed, contributing sketch ideas and research, and maintains the continuity of design development for multi brands.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter with a sharp eye for design and excellent time-management skills. This is an amazing opportunity for a junior design professional to utilize their unique vision and partner with some of the best designers in the industry.
Responsibilities include:
Work with designer to oversee development of first samples for seasonal collections.
Assist designer in creating seasonal print and color stories for licensees.
Responsible for managing the design process with licensed partners from conception through production for an ever-growing collection of licensed fashion categories.
Requirements:
Strong computer skills. Proficient in illustrator.
Good communication skills. Needs to communicate with factories overseas to ensure development of all first samples.
Will need basic understanding of garment construction
Strong organizational skills, time and deadline management.
Strong sense of color and print
Fashion Design: 2-5 years
Salary: $55,000-$80,000
