Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Swimwear Associate Designer to join our creative team! The ideal candidate is a fashion enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of garment construction and textiles. As a Swimwear Associate Designer at Sweet Apparel, you will play a crucial role in shaping our collections, ensuring they are not only aesthetically appealing but also marketable and in line with our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with the swimwear designer to develop concepts, sketches, CADs, and prototypes
for new collections.
● Stay updated on fashion trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to create
designs that resonate with our target audience.
● Research and select suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories for each collection, considering
both aesthetics and functionality.
● Work closely with tech designers to oversee the development of prototypes and fits of
garments.
● Collaborate with production teams to monitor the manufacturing process, ensuring timely
delivery of finished products.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with 2-5 years of experience in the fashion industry,
preferably in the swimwear and/or intimates industries.
● Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
● Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
● Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality fashion pieces.
