We are seeking a passionate and innovative Associate Fashion Designer to join our dynamic creative team. Duties
- Assist in developing seasonal collections by researching current fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Create detailed sketches and illustrations using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other design software to visualize concepts.
- Support the product development process from initial concept through final production, including fabric selection, garment construction, and fit adjustments.
- Prepare technical specifications and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings to communicate design details clearly to manufacturers.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure designs align with market trends and retail strategies.
- Participate in fittings, analyze garment fit and finish, and suggest improvements for production readiness.
- Maintain organized design archives, mood boards, and color palettes that reflect the brand’s aesthetic vision.
Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for digital sketching and graphic design.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software for pattern making and technical drawings.
- Understanding of the product lifecycle management process from concept to retail.
- Solid foundation in fashion design principles, garment construction, sewing techniques, and pattern development.
- Experience with fabric selection, color theory, and textile properties relevant to fashion retail.
- Ability to illustrate ideas through hand drawing or digital illustration tools; experience with theater or costume design is a plus.
- Familiarity with sewing machines and garment fitting procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
- Knowledge of fashion merchandising strategies and retail market dynamics.
