Full Job Description
A well-established apparel company in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a talented and driven Designer (Associate to mid-level, depending on experience) to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. This role supports the design process from concept through production, contributing to the development of trend-driven, market-ready apparel that aligns with our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to develop seasonal collections from concept to final production
- Create original design concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and CADs using Adobe Creative Suite
- Assist with sample development, fittings, and revisions to ensure accurate construction, fit, and quality
- Build and coordinate color stories, fabric selections, and trims based on seasonal direction and market trends
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Conduct research on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitive markets to inform design direction
- Ensure all designs align with brand aesthetics and current trend-driven styles
- Communicate design ideas clearly and follow direction from senior designers and management
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Fashion Designer or Associate Designer (level may vary based on experience)
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work and creative capabilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; experience with CAD tools is a plus
- Solid understanding of garment construction, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle development
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, color theory, and design principles
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Korean and English (reading, writing, and speaking) preferred
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred but not required
- Ability to assist as a fit model is a plus
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
