Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Colorist to join our dynamic salon team. Our salon culture is full of kindness, serving each other, educating/coaching each other to elevate one another’s skills. The ideal candidate will be team oriented. And must have a strong foundation in hair coloring techniques and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each client leaves with beautiful, vibrant hair. In addition to hair coloring, the Hair Colorist will have the opportunity to provide various beauty services, creating a holistic experience for our clients. We use Wella Hair Color in the salon and are involved in lots of education opportunities, team building activities, and team based salon culture.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will include performing hair coloring services, including highlights, lowlights, balayage, and color corrections.
Consult with clients to understand their desired outcomes and provide expert recommendations.
We exclusively work with curly hair, so you’d have to be trained with how to properly color wavy, curly and coily hair.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Utilize salon software such as Vagary for appointment scheduling and client management.
Upsell additional services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction.
Provide hair styling services as needed, ensuring a complete look for clients.
Mentor junior stylists and assist in their professional development within the salon.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair coloring and styling techniques.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Hair Colorist or similar role within a salon environment.
Proficiency in various hair coloring techniques and products.
Familiarity with salon software systems like Vagary is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively consult with clients and understand their needs.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in service execution.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the salon.
Pay will be Base Pay plus Commission.
